African Savanna
I had some lovely graphic fabric with animals of the African Savanna, and I wanted to combine the images in a contemporary style art quilt. Using traditional Flying Geese triangles in large sections along with the smaller geometric patterns gave this quilt a very modern look. The large animals and the leaves were fused onto the surface. I had a friend who had spent a year in Swaziland, and she said that the colors of all the fabrics were exactly the colors of the surroundings as well as the night sky.
